Nassau County

Nassau County is a small but growing county located in northwestern Florida. The current population of the county is said to be around 65,000. The main law enforcement for the county is Nassau County Sheriff’s Office. The other police department for the county is the Fernandina Beach Police Department. Both of these 2 agencies work closely with Florida Highway Patrol to enforce all the laws. Florida Highway Patrol is mainly responsible for issuing moving violations both criminal and civil.

In the past year over 6,500 moving violations were issued by the law enforcements of Monroe County. Like most counties, more than half of these were issued for unlawful speed.
